hopefully only 2 out of every 7 Steeler fans care what those 7 experts have to say. (wish it was zero but some people can't help themselves) |

For what its worth I got the following: Colts, Saints, Patriots, Steelers, & Ravens. I can see the Steelers and Saints in the SB with all the media hype on the Saints.Their high powered offense machine meets the Steelers strauch defense. And as we all know defense wins championships!! |

How bad is the rest of the league if these "experts" rank us 3-4? Really, early on I was very disappointed with our performance, we are riding the wave of a strong victory through a bye week, but I'm still not convinced that we are as good as last year. |

we are better then we were last year the Defense will continue where they left off from the Vikings game in the second half after the bye and the O line and the running game will continue to get better |

Right now Skibo thats a tough call for me too. The only thing I feel is absolutly better is our offensive line. The AFC imo has 4-5 teams with a real shot at the SB. Us, pats, colts, ravens and maybe the chargers. Its going to be a heck of a ride. |

I agree that it's hard to say whether we're better than last year or not. But last year at this time, we were also 5-2 I think having lost to the Giants and shortly thereafter lost to the Colts. Ben wasn't playing as well as he is now, he was throwing more INTs if I remember.
Remember all the offensive struggles last year we had during the regular season? I remember some ugly games where we would nothing the entire game except the last drive or two where we would pull off the win because defense kept us in the game. During that time I don't think I had a lot of confidence in winning the SB if we continued to play like that. But look how things turn out... I'm excited to see what this year has in store. Just gotta stay healthy and peak at the right time... |

quoting phrank: For what its worth I got the following: Colts, Saints, Patriots, Steelers, & Ravens. Wow, do you seriously believe the Patriots are better than the Steelers? Why? Against the 1-6 Titans and the 0-7 Bucs the Patriots are 2-0 and won those games by a combined score of 94-7. In their other 5 games, they are a dismal 3-2 and the combined score of those games was a tight 104-91. So in 5 games against their somewhat legitimate opponents, the Patriots average score was 20-18. Against their 2 lame opponents, the average score was 47-3, and that is skewing people's thinking about them. They are at best an average football team, that can be beaten in many ways. To say they're the 3rd best team in the league is giving them way, way too much credit.
