quoting playwitpoise: quoting Steel Rule: quoting SteelHack: quoting playwitpoise: I have a Fever said Parker and I think its related to his Toe,Ankle,Knee, and Back if he can miss practice no one gets to see how hurt he is ..........They will probably hold him out of practice until later in the Week and at that point you only go 50% as a Team to rest up for the game so once again Parker will be of no use this game if needed.......... LOL...dude...I hope you stretched before you reached that far...would hate to see you pull something. Parker was sent to the docs....the docs said go home......You don't want the same issue the Browns had were they had 12 guys out with the flew on a Wed. HACK True. It is flu season after all and one with special circumstances to boot. If its the flu then fine a good smart choice, however I think the Team and Parker are blowing smoke I just found an interesting stat that all but proves Parker has been and probably still is hurt.....Aaron Rogers a QB has 188 yards on 29 attempts while Parker has 187 yards on 60 attempts if he was healthy there is no way that any QB in the NFL would have the same production with half as many attempts........Why am I the only 1 who can see this??? That stat means nothing......Often when a QB scrambles its for 10-20 yards..as blitzers run past the QB...and DB's and LB are dropping into coverage...either deep...or with their backs turned to the QB.....surely a RB coach like yourself would realize handing the ball to a RB gets the defense attacking....while a pass play gets a defense backpedaling.. Handing the ball to Willie Parker to run behind the Center is a lot different than a QB breaking contain and running down field. Why is it you are now picking and choosing when Tomlin is telling the truth... when you said he supposedly told Redman he would have made the team if not for Logan...you believed it When you said he supposedly looked at Redman during the game he dressed and told him...I wanted to get you in the game...your turn will come soon.....you believed that But when Tomlin actually DOES SAY....its the flu...no big deal...Willie Parker is fine...its suddenly a conspiracy and a cover up. It looks like your relentless obsession with Redman is finally perhaps pushing you into some form of insanity. I mean, Aaron Rodgers' scrambling yards proves that Willie Parker is injured (and therefore, I presume, should be replaced by Isaac Redman)? Well I also just found an interesting stat, but it actually proves that Willie Parker is not injured . . . Parker has 5 receptions for 53 yards, while Quinn Johnson, a Green Bay fullback, has only 2 receptions for 4 yards. Tell me, if Parker is injured, how can he have more than twice as many receptions as Johnson, and more than 10 times the receiving yards? Am I the only one who can see this?

A healthy Parker would have more than 188 yards on 60 attempts I for 1 believe that he would have alot more yards if he was Healthy I think his history tells us that and until I see him able to run the way he is supposed to I will continue to believe that he is hurt or washed up......I would be Interesting in hearing your and TSS'S reason why he has fell off so much, everyones reason at the beginning of the season was the OL and Mendenhall has proved that not to be the case ,so whats the reason for his poor performance????There is also alot of no name RB'S with less carries and more production than Parker I just used Rogers because half the attemts with more yardage the FWP I remember there would be no way that would happen whether it be a QB,RB,WR, or anyone else so please tell me why he has fell so far I would really like to get your take........ |

I like having Timmons on our defense and all but I am a bit excited to see Keyaron Fox get the start. He seems to be a VERY aware player when he is in and is always making plays when he gets his chance. I am curious to see if he is able to start and play the whole game... I wonder if they will have him on Special Teams and at ILB...
Anyone else agree? |

Well...if I remember your Im a RB coach diatribe from the preseason...the line just blocks harder when Redman is in...oops..I mean when Mendenhall is in. No one is arguing that Willie is injured....he is going to battle turf toe all year.....what the arguement is....is Willie vs Redman.....and the answer is still Willie.....Redman is just not ready yet...there is nothing wrong with giving him redshirt year. Yes we know...fine put Vincent in....but we all know who you mean. HACK

quoting SteelHack: Well...if I remember your Im a RB coach diatribe from the preseason...the line just blocks harder when Redman is in HACK The Steelers have quite a quandry. The OL blocks harder when Redman is in there (because, if I recall correctly, they 'feel his fire' or something like that), but Mendenhall is at his best when Redman is wearing a helmet on the sideline, threatening to come on the field and wrack up some red zone touchdowns at any moment. So the trick that playwitpoise and Larry Zierlein are going to have to come up with (obviously Zierlien, like most NFL coaches, reads this board to get PWP's tips) is getting the OL to block well and Mendenhall to run well when Redman is on the practice squad doing nothing, where he belongs. Oh wait, the OL is blocking well and Mendenhall is running well, and Redman is on the practice squad doing nothing. So why in the world do we have to keep rehasing this Redman nonsense over and over over and over like we're stuck in a real-life version of Groundhog Day? |
