Sure he was an arch rival for years, but this is just absolutely devastating and terrible news. R.I.P. Steve, you were an NFL great. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

I am so sorry for Steve McNair and his family. He was always a fierce competitor and seemed like a really good guy. He will be missed. |

This is terrible news. I always hated it when the Steelers played McNair because of how good he was. I always respected him and his game. R.I.P. Our thoughts and prayers go to the McNair family. |

Whatever happened to fighting someone you didn't like or fighting someone who did you wrong? Why do people in today's society feel the need to pick up a gun and shoot/kill someone. Can't anyone take a good old fashioned butt kicking anymore, are so many people afraid to get beat up...
...anyways, I'll always remember Steve McNair, the QB, for his poise in the pocket and in the face of adversity. Anyone who watched him play knew he could take off in a moment and make plays with his feet (don't get me wrong, he did) but he was so good at buying time and throwing it down field. You never heard Steve McNair throw his team-mates under the bus, he always believed that as the QB, he was to shoulder the blame. I couldn't stand him when he played the Steelers, but he was a heck of an athlete and one of the best QB's that I remember growing up.
God bless his family in this trying time.

Truly a great competitor, and awesome QB.
This is just tragic. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and that of the woman. |
