After the Steelers defeated the Ravens 34-15, Porter lashed out at Ray Lewis, who mocked Porter's signature kicking gesture after a big play. Porter sat out the game on the sidelines while recovering from a gunshot wound. 'I thought he kind of disrespected me. He came out here, he's doing the boot and telling me this is his house. I think that's negative. You don't come and disrespect a man who's hurt. Why are you worried about me? I'm not even playing. Why are you imitating me? That let me know he doesn't care. There were times when he was in trouble with the law, his shoulder was hurt, and I went over there and shook his hand and said, `Get through it.' Yet, he wants to make fun of me being hurt? I take that like a slap in the face. You never kick a man when he's down. 'He's running around there, running his mouth, doing all that, but if you watch him on film and really look, where was Ray Lewis? He was nowhere to be found. I could have tackled the water boy and had as many tackles as him. He didn't do nothing today. He's all mouth. When you talk like that, that's what happens: You get hit in the mouth. He's over there crying now, thinking about what went wrong. You got your [rear end] whipped, that's what.' |

'We're coming from everywhere. We play with 15 guys in the huddle. We have guys parachuting from airplanes, fans coming from out of the stands to help us go after people.' Kevin Greene.

On Bettis after the Steelers vs. Chicago 2005 'Hey, mudder!'' Hines Ward yelled at Bettis Owner Dan Rooney took one look at him and said: 'You look like a throwback.'' When asked about carrying Mr. All-Pro over the goal line, Bettis gave one of those twinkles and said: 'I've made a living out of carrying people. That's why they call me The Bus. .... I knew it was Urlacher. But I had the leverage.'' |

I will pitch in with some. The first is from a story Bradshaw told about the late great Dwight 'Mad Dog' White at training camp. White hit Bradshaw, more than Bradshaw thought was necessary. Bradshaw got into White's face and said 'You can loose with me but you can't win without me'. On the sidelines White asked 'Hey blond bomber, what was it you said? That thing you said out there, what was it again'? Bradshaw could not remember what he did say. The second was from Bettis on the sidelines after a touchdown. 'Smash mouth football baby......Pittsburgh style' Bradshaw saying..'Let me put my hands under Mike Webster's butt just one more time' |

Just how tough is Greg Lloyd anyway, "Well let me put it this way, we wouldn't have had to send ground troops to Bosnia. We could have just sent Greg Lloyd armed with a cue ball in an old sock." - QB Jim Harbaugh. |

In 1991, Joe Namath then an analyst of NBC accused Lloyd of playing dirty, Lloyd resonded by saying 'Who is Joe Namath? This is a guy who, if he played in the league today, I'd probably just go hit him late and see what he did, just for the h--- of it. Joe Namath can go to h---; he can kiss my (butt).' |

Mike Tomlin Quotes: 'It was a non-issue for us,' said Tomlin Tomlin said: 'I can't worry about concerns other people might have. I've been hired to do a job here and I intend to do it at a high level.' 'I don't care what coach Belichick has to say after a game regarding our performance,' Tomlin said. 'I compliment them on a great game and we move forward. ...... Do we need to play better? Absolutely. But it won't be because he said it.' 'The defense, well, they were their usual selves,' coach Mike Tomlin said. 'We don't have that luxury,' Tomlin said. 'We don't live in that world. I never second guess the decisions we make. We're thoughtful in the process of coming to those decisions and when we make then, we live with them.' 'I didn't care about the schedule in March. I don't care about the schedule now,' Tomlin said. 'I really don't.” 'We're just going to let the play talk,' Tomlin said. 'You know how we do it.” 'We're playing for hardware this week,' Tomlin said 'This has been our story all year,' Tomlin said. 'Steelers football is 60 minutes. It's never going to be pretty.' |
